Angie Carrozza, 96, Chappaqua Cafeteria Worker

THORNWOOD, N.Y. – Angelina "Angie" Carrozza of Thornwood died April 29 at her home. She was 96.  

She was born April 13, 1916 in Bronx, N.Y., to Michael and Maria Moccia Bimonte. Carrozza worked as a school cafeteria worker for Chappaqua schools from 1980 to 1995. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Carrozza, in 1989 and by four brothers and a sister. She is survived by three sons, Mel (Rita) Carrozza, of Katonah, John (Darleen) Carrozza, of Rockville Centre, N.Y., and Tony (Linda) Carrozza of Pleasanton, Calif.; a daughter, Maria Suglia of Thornwood; seven cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
