Here’s a recipe from Carol Wasserman of Chappaqua. Wasserman is a holistic health practitioner specializing in natural weight loss in Hawthorne and Manhattan. This recipe comes from Wasserman’s website, GetHealthyWithCarol.com

 

Mango Breakfast Crumble

  • 2 mangos, peeled and chopped into large chunks
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 4 dates, pitted and chopped (or use ¼ cup raisins)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar, or to taste

Set mangos aside in a bowl.

Add pecans, dates, flax, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a food processor

Pulse a few times until mixture takes on a crumbly texture. Taste. Add agave nectar if desired.

Spoon over mangos and enjoy as a healthy breakfast or snack.
