WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new television miniseries which chronicles the heroism of the men of the 42nd Rainbow Division during World War I, will be shot at The Bronxville Women's Club.

This group of soldiers fought for longer than any other U.S. divisions during the war and faced unbelievable physical and psychological challenges.

The portion of the show that includes Bronxville focuses on the impact of the women's suffrage moment. The series, entitled "42nd Rainbow Division Miniseries," however, is not expected to air until late 2018 to coincide with the signing of the Armistice Agreement.

To celebrate its spot in the limelight, the historic Club will be hosting a kick-off event Saturday, August 12. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The open-to-the-public celebration will include hors d'oeuvres and appetizers, an open cash bar, notable guest speakers, and entertainment. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

The Bronxville Women's Club is at 135 Midland Ave., 914-337-3252, www.bronxvillewomensclub.org/ .
