Kitchen & Bath Source Of White Plains Can Transition Your Kitchen

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- More and more homeowners are transforming their kitchens and selecting transitional designs for their cabinetry, countertops and accessories. Rob Stonbely of White Plains-based Kitchen & Bath Source says the term "transitional" should not confuse people.

“By definition transitional design is an update on a classic,'' Stonbely said. "All of today’s transitional designs start with a classic look and incorporate a modern flair. Transitional design is known to have clean lines and should look sophisticated and streamlined.

Stonbely said another signature component to transitional kitchens is "convenience accessories." Charging stations for devices, microwave drawers and built in coffee makers are some of the ways to address the needs of today's modern family,’’ he said. “This type of thoughtfulness contributes to the overall feel of transitional design.”

As with any kitchen remodeling project, homeowners need to research the look they are trying to achieve. Browsing the Internet, looking at magazines and consulting with a design expert are the first steps toward creating a transitional look.
