ARMONK, N.Y. -- Hudson Stage Company will produce its fall production, "The God Game," at its new home at Armonk's Whippoorwill Hall Theatre in October.
The theater is at the North Castle Public Library, 19 Whippoorwill Road, in Armonk.
"The God Game," by Suzanne Bradbeer, will be HSC's first main stage show in its new home. The show is directed by Giovanna Sardelli and producers are Denise Bessette, Dan Foster and Olivia Sklar.
In "The God Game," a popular, moderate Senator is tapped to serve as the running mate for a conservative presidential candidate when his life takes a major turn. As an agnostic, he is asked to appear more Christian for an appealing ticket. Will he or won’t he lie on the campaign trail in order to get the job? This poses a dilemma for his marriage and asks the ethical question: Does the public have the right to know everything about a candidate’s private beliefs?
Hudson Stage will perform the show at the 186 seat theater, located in Armonk with easy access to terrific local restaurants.
Previews are Friday, Oct. 10. It opens Saturday, Oct. 11 and runs weekends only through Saturday, Oct. 25. Tickets begin at $30 for seniors/students and $35 for general admission. Tickets are available at www.hudsonstage.com or by calling Brown Paper Tickets: 1-800-838-3006.
