For everything ex-Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton has accomplished in her life, many folks still want to know the basics, as in where she gets her hair done and what she likes to eat for breakfast.
It's all outlined in "A Day in the Life," a chapter in her the longtime Westchester resident's newly released book, "What Happened" with Westchester getting its fair share of ink.
Santa Nikkels Hair Salon in Chappaqua, for example, gets a mention as part of her glam squad (she also has folks she relies on in New York City.)
"A lot of people were baffled to discover, after my emails were made public, that I had regular "appointments with Santa,'" she writes.
She also used Westchester County Airport a lot for her plane departures and arrivals, and, when she was prepping for her debates, headed to the Doral Arrowwood Resort in Rye Brook.
As much as she tries to eat healthy -- breakfast is usually scrambled egg whites with vegetables -- she admits to a weakness for Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers, a frequent snack on the campaign trail. Fifty-five Goldfish are only 150 calories, she writes, so not bad.
As often as possible, Clinton writes, she'd arrange her schedule so she could sleep in her own bed in Chappaqua. She said she and Bill bought the home in 1999 because they loved the bedroom.
"It's one and a half stories high with a vaulted ceiling and windows on three sides," she writes. "When we first saw it as prospective home buyers, Bill said that we would always wake up happy here, with the light streaming in and the garden around us.
"He was right."
