CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people came out to watch E.T. for the first ever Movies in Millwood Park last Friday.
"It was a great success. We probably had 300 people. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the kids had a great time," said Chamber founder Rob Greenstein. Greenstein. "Many adults commented that it reminded them of a drive-in movie."
Moviegoers were treated to free popcorn while candy, water, iced tea and other treats were available for sale.
Next Friday's movie is 'Despicable Me'. "The timing is perfect since the sequel is opening in movie theaters a week later" said Greenstein.
The Chamber is working with the New Castle Recreation & Parks Department and the Millwood Task Force to bring this great new tradition to Millwood. Families will come together on Friday nights to watch movies under the stars in Millwood Park (235 Saw Mill River Road - next to Rocky's). This is a four week event with free admission. The showtime is 8:30 p.m.
