The Daily Chappaqua is starting a new interactive weekly feature where residents submit their favorite recipes.
This week's recipe comes from Carol Wasserman, a nutritionist who specializes in natural weight loss and healthy eating for healthy living. Wasserman splits her residence between Chappaqua and the Upper West Side in Manhattan and has practices in Hawthorne andManhattan.

- ¼ red onion, sliced thin
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- Juice from ½ of a lemon
- 1 bunch mixed greens lettuce, washed
- 2 red radishes, sliced
In a large bowl add onion, garlic, avocado, oil, salt and lemon. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Add lettuce and toss well. Add more oil and salt, if needed.
Top salad with sliced radishes, if desired.
