This discussion, part of the hospital’s ongoing speaker series, will focus on general health care for adolescents and answer questions regarding age-related issues for boys and girls. There will also be an overview of the human papillomavirus and the latest data regarding the HPV vaccine and answer questions about its impact on adolescent health.
Gefsky believes strongly in being proactive about one’s health, including exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy diet. She is thrilled to support NWH by being involved in the Speaker Series because she believes being educated about various health-related topics is the best way to ensure proper preventative medical care.
Gefsky has lived in Chappaqua for the past 10 years with her husband and three children. Jen had her third child at Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) and when she compares her experience at NWH with one of top the NYC hospitals where she delivered her first two children, she says they “were incomparable.”
Northern Westchester Hospital provided one-on-one care with a thoroughly-trained staff and top-notch during her recovery time. After that experience, she realized “how lucky our community is to have such a high-quality hospital in our own backyard.”
