ARMONK, N.Y. -- No burger or sandwich is complete without an order of fries. Whether you like them shoestring skinny, crispy and crinkled or golden brown and fried to perfection, they remain one of America's favorite sides.
DVlicious Ask: Who Has Westchester's Best Fries?
The Barley House, Thornwood
Blazer Pub, Purdys
Le Jardin Du Roi, Chappaqua
You've chosen five finalists as the DVlicious best in Westchester; now it's time to vote. First, though, grab some ketchup and pour over the following. Just don't blame us if you get hungry!
Fry Type: In between a straight cut and a shoestring. "Like a meaty cottage fry," explained Owner Nate Kramer.
What Makes Them So Addictive: Fresh, Idaho potatoes are cut in-house; then soaked anywhere from three to six hours in water; then cooked using 100 percent canola oil when an order comes in. Folks rave, too, about the cheese sauce you can dip them in, made with aged white cheddar, American cheese and aged parmesean that is reduced down with cream.
A reminder: Voting ends Tuesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
