What's Happening This Week In Chappaqua

Monday, Aug. 27

Informal Writing Workshop: 7 p.m. Bring short prose, poetry, ideas or simply a desire to write to an evening of supportive feedback with fellow writers. The free workshop is led by Joan Schulman; registration is required. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

No Town Board Meeting: The New Castle Town Board will not meet again until September.

Tuesdays in the Pizza Garden: 4 p.m. Help tend the Teen Zone pizza garden of tomatoes and basil and also learn how to make home-made pizza dough and pesto sauce. The event is free and open to students between fifth and 12th grades.

Wednesday, Aug. 29

Stitch and Chat: 1 p.m. Join other needlework enthusiasts to exchange patterns, ideas and techniques. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Back to School Stress?: 7:30 p.m. Learn the results of Greeley student Sara McElheny's research project on common types of stress experienced by Greeley students and how the stress can be addressed. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Night Owls: 7 p.m. The Chappaqua Library will continue its summer tradition of Night Owls story times for children ages 3-5 with an adult. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Thursday, Aug. 30

Mah Jongg Club: 7 p.m. The Mah Jongg club is for players at all levels. Instruction as well and coffee, tea and cookies will be provided. The library will provide cards but those attending are asked to bring boards, if possible. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

New Castle Justice Court: 7:30 p.m. Justice Court is in session every Thursday at New Castle Town Hall. 200 S. Greeley Ave.
