Foreign Policy Discussion: 10 a.m. Khusro Elley, who recently returned from a two-month visit to Pakistan, will facilitate a discussion on U.S./Pakistan relations. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Joint Conifer Meeting: 7 p.m. New Castle's planning and architectural board will join together for a meeting on Conifer Realty's affordable housing proposal for Hunts Place. New Castle Town Hall, 200 S. Greeley Ave.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

Understand the College Application Process: 7 p.m. Learn the key elements of college applications, teacher recommendations and early application options. Parents are welcome. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Islam and Politics: A Quick Overview: 7:30 p.m. Wael Hamza will present Islamic views of the modern concepts of democracy, liberalism, secularism, constitution, law making and the separation of church and state. Thursday, Sept. 13

An Evening for Yankee Lovers (And Haters): 7 p.m. Author and former Sports Illustrated Executive Editor Rob Fleder will discuss his book about the New York Yankees and the team that inspires such powerful feelings. Joining him will be New York Magazine's sports columnist Will Leitch. The event is free and open to the public. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

New Castle Justice Court: 7:30 p.m. Justice Court is in session every Thursday at New Castle Town Hall, 200 S. Greeley Ave.
