What To Do In Chappaqua This Weekend

Friday, Oct. 12

Chappaqua StoryWalk: 9 a.m. The Chappaqua Library returns with its annual Halloween StoryWalk. The walk begins at the Burden Preserve at Sheather Road just outside Mount Kisco. Children will follow a marked trail lined with individual pages from the book "A Tiger Called Thomas." The walk will be held every day until Nov. 9.

Saturday, Oct. 13

Chappaqua Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Church of St. Mary the Virgin, 191 S. Greeley Ave.

"Shop for the Cause" Boutique: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Chappaqua Brokerage of Houlihan Lawrence will be hosting its fourth annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer "Shop for the Cause" Boutique, with jewelry, apparel and various gift items. 45 S. Greeley Ave.

Fall Festival: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce hosts its first Fall Festival. Learn more about the event here.

Sunday, Oct. 14

Concert: All Prokofiev Program: 3 p.m. The feature artists are clarinetist Eric Drucker, oboist Delia Montenegro, pianist Cynthia Peterson, violinists Bob Lawrence and Chie Yoshinaka, violist Jules Lai, cellist Bernard Tamosaitis and bassist Lou Pappas. The event is co-sponsored with the Chappaqua Orchestra and is free and open to the public. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Millwood Fire Department Open House: 1 to 4 p.m. The Millwood Fire Department holds its Fire Prevention Week “Open House” at Firehouse # 1.  The department will have a fire safety trailer, fire truck rides, refreshments, vehicle extrication demonstrations using the “Jaws of Life,” and a program for providing child safety ID’s. 60 Millwood Road.Art Show: The Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund will host a special-event showing of the Louis-Dreyfus family's private art collection. There will be two viewings, with the first from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and the second from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Visit HGSF's website for more information. 211 Kisco Ave., Mount Kisco.
