Monday, Jan. 14

All Together Now: 11:30 a.m. Join the Chappaqua Library for story time. Those five years old and younger are invited with an adult. No registration is necessary. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Storytimes: 4:30 p.m. For those in grades K-2, come to this week’s Storytimes at the Chappaqua library and anticipate a surprise activity. Free and open to the public. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Informal Writing Workshop: 7:30 p.m. Join Joan Schulman and others with you short prose, poetry, ideas or simply a desire to write, to an evening of supportive feedback with fellow writers. Free and open to the public but registration is required. Stop by or call the reference desk at 914-238-4779 to register. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

Crochet With Kate: 3-6 p.m. Grades 5-12 are welcomed to join Kate for part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Kate will start with the basics—hats and scarves—and then move on to arimgurumi in this monthly program. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Town Board Work Session: 7:45 p.m. Join the New Castle Town Board in the Town Hall for a work session. 200 S. Greeley Ave.

Planning Board: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Join the New Castle Planning Board in their first meeting of 2013. 200 S. Greeley Ave.

College Planning: 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Early responses have just been received and it’s a good time for those to discuss whether these options make sense for them. Early programs should certainly be considered but they are not for everybody. This seminar will discuss the critical factors in deciding what is the best strategy for each student. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

BOE Meeting: 8:15 The Chappaqua Schools Board of Education will have their first meeting of 2013. Horace Greeley High School, 70 Roaring Brook Road.

Thursday, Jan. 17

Stuffed Animal Sleepover: 7 p.m. Those in grades K-3 are welcomed in their pajamas to hear bedtime stories and leave their stuffed animals to spend a night at the library. Just don’t forget to pick them up the next day! Registry is required. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.
