Teen Airlifted To Maryland Hospital After Being Shot, Harford County Sheriff Says

A teenager is recovering in Northern Maryland after being shot and airlifted to an area hospital overnight, according to a spokesperson for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, deputies responded to the 1300 block of Harford Square Drive in Edgewood, where there was a reported shooting involving a minor.

Upon arrival, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, and he was treated at the scene before being airlifted by a Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in stable condition on Wednesday, Oct. 25. 

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office. No information about a possible shooting, or the circumstances surrounding it has been released by investigators.
