Woman Accused Of Stealing $41K From Long Island Auto Dealer Where She Worked, Police Say

A woman has been accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a Long Island auto dealership where she worked.

An employee at Town & Country Chrysler Dealership located on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown noticed a discrepancy in payroll and notified police. 

A thorough investigation was conducted and it was determined that another employee at the dealership, defendant Kristen Fault, age 24 of Hicksville, was in possession of several forged checks that she had deposited into her own accounts between Wednesday, June 17, 2020 and Thursday, June 18, 2020 for a total of approximately $41,000, Nassau County Police said. 

Fault was arrested while at her place of employment without incident on Monday, Feb. 15 at 2:40 p.m., police said.

She was charged with third-degree grand larceny and six counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. 

She was arraigned on Tuesday, Feb. 16 in Mineola.
