Nonprofit Leaders Gather At Pace For #GivingTuesday Kickoff Event

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- More than 80 leaders from the nonprofit sector gathered at Pace University's Pleasantville campus Tuesday for nonprofit Westchester's kickoff event for #GivingTuesday, a global movement to encourage giving. Henry Timms, executive director of 92Y and founder of the worldwide initiative, revealed how it all began, and offered inspiration to nonprofits that are bringing the campaign to Westchester County this year. Pace University has also partnered with NPW in promoting the cause by assembling a panel of judges from Pace's media communications and Visual Arts Department in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, for a video contest in the fall.
