The New Castle Town Board voted unanimously at its Dec. 9 meeting to allow the group Chabad of Armonk, Chappaqua & Pleasantville to display a menorah in front of the Community Center. The building is at the intersection of Senter Street and King Street in downtown Chappaqua.

The board's approval allows the Chabad organization to display the menorah from Dec. 15 to Dec. 29. Hanukkah starts on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and runs to Wednesday, Dec. 24.

The local Chabad group does not have a specific time on its website for when it will hold the menorah lighting. Check with the town at 914-238-4771, for additional information.
