Learn How To Co-Exist With Coyotes in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- The Conservation Board of New Castle will host a workshop on co-existing with coyotes on Wednesday, April 2, in the Town Hall Assembly room from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Dr. Daniel Bogan who works for the State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Bureau of Wildlife and Lectures in Environmental Studies at Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y.

These are the goals of the workshop:

  • Creating a better understanding of the role that coyotes now play in the suburban environment.
  • Supporting the community by educating residents with realistic recommendations to reduce and prevent problems with coyotes in a changing suburban landscape.
  • Providing an overview of coyote behavior.
  • Giving residents an experiential/hands-on opportunity to “practice” hazing techniques.

Town Hall is at 200 S. Greeley Ave. in Chappaqua.
