Learn About College Admissions Process In Chappaqua Program

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Library is hosting a program called "What Counts in the College Admissions Process," on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m.

The event will be a free, 60-minute question and answer in the library theater. It is geared towards freshman, sophomores and juniors and will focus on the following topics:

  • Finding the right match
  • How colleges admit students
  • What students have done in the past to get in
  • Getting the most out of college
  • How to stay calm throughout the entire process

Keith Berman, the president of Options for College, will be hosting the event.  Berman, a Hastings-on-Hudson resident, is a former Harvard/Yale admissions interviewer who is an 11-year private guidance veteran and leader in the fields of college placement, guidance, gifted education and Jewish education.
