The program with James Navé is a "literary performance lab for poets, writers and storytellers," according to a press release. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the Katonah Village Library Garden Room, according to the release.

"James Navé -- poet, performer and creativity coach -- will teach a one-day spoken-word workshop that will help creative writers and storytellers perfect their stage presence when reading their work before an audience," representatives wrote in the press release. "Instruction will include practice techniques such as taking your time onstage, connecting emotionally with your work, and using your body as your instrument. Effective memorization skills will also be taught. Bring a notebook, pen, and some original writing."

The fee for the program, which includes lunch, is $135 or $75 with a student ID. Make checks payable to Katonah Village Library and mail to Marlene Gallagher, Katonah Poetry Series, 28 Lake View Pass, Katonah NY 10536.
