One note from 38-year-old David Allen, prosecutors said, was a list: “1. Paint 2. Glass 3. Bleach 4. Bullet in the leg, jail.”

Another said: “Don’t f— with me,” according to a criminal complaint.

The 5-foot-11, 245-pound Allen remains in a New York City detention center since his Jan. 26 arrest, pending a court hearing next Wednesday on charges of attempted grand larceny, a first-degree felony, among other charges, NYC Corrections Department records show.

He hasn’t been able to post a $75,000 bond or $25,000 cash bail.

Allen, who was graduated from Pascack Hills High School in 1991 and more recently lived in Edgewater with his wife and two children, began his campaign last month after being fired in December, according to a criminal complaint on file in Manhattan District Court.

The Roberts mansion

First came notes faxed to the Roberts family claiming they owed him hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions and severance, prosecutors said. When the family didn’t respond, Allen sent them an envelope filled with a harmless white powder that they feared was dangerous, they said.

He then splashed white paint on the Roberts’ $90 million, seven-story mansion on East 80th Street, where Lucille Roberts’ widower has lived and worked – at times with their two sons, prosecutors said.

Allen also fired the notes through glass panes of the 10-bedroom, Woolworth-commissioned landmark, according to the complaint.

A published report says Allen worked for the company as a real estate manager for less than six months before he was let go.
