BEDFORD, N.Y.Bedford Police said 29-year-old Michael J. Wolstencroft was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and later harassment and possession of a controlled substance in two separate instances on the same day.
A police officer stopped Wolstencroft on Barker Street March 12 and saw his car had a flat tire and broken rim. Police gave Wolstencroft a field sobriety test, which they said he failed. Police said Wolstencroft had two forged New York State driver's licenses on him. He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, misdemeanors, and driving while ability impaired, a felony. Wolstencroft was released on $200 bail and is scheduled to return to Bedford Court on March 22.
Later that day, Bedford police said they were called to Wolstencroft's home on Capricorn Lane, where they said he was fighting with his father. Police said they found Wolstencroft with a hypodermic needle and he admitted it had oxycodone inside. Wolstencroft was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and second degree harassment, all misdemeanors. Wolstencroft was arraigned at the Bedford Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail, where he was held on $15,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Bedford court on March 15. At that time, police said, his mother and father also had an order of protection issued against him.

-Bedford Police arrested a 22-year-old Pound Ridge woman and charged her with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, both misdemeanors, earlier this month after they said they stopped her while driving on Bedford Road and found she was driving with a suspended license.
Police said Lorena M. Pecora said there was alcohol in a container in her car when they pulled her over, but that everyone in the car was over 21. Police said Pecora told them there was nothing illegal in the car and that they could look if they liked.
Police said they found two 40 ounce Corona beer bottles in the car, as well as a cut-off plastic pen shell with a powdery white substance in it, which police said later tested positive for cocaine.
Pecora was released on $250 bail and is scheduled to appear in Bedford Court on March 29.
