Barlow Asking Easton Parents to Be Greener

EASTON, Conn. - Parents in Easton and Redding are being asked to turn off idling engines while waiting at Joel Barlow High School to make the campus a greener place.

Barlow's head of school, Tom McMorran sent an email to parents over the weekend which read: "Please help us to keep the air quality at Barlow as healthy as possible. Our bus drivers are required to shut off the engines of our buses after three minutes of idling. If you are picking up or dropping off, please help us by using the same rule."

By doing so, McMorran said, "This small step will help us be a greener place."
