CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Houlihan Lawrence in Chappaqua will host its seventh annual Shop for a Cause boutique on Saturday to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
The Shop for a Cause boutique will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Houlihan Lawrence office at 45 South Greeley Ave. in Chappaqua. Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society at its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 18 at Manhattanville College.
Jeanne Coon, a realtor for Houlihan Lawrence, has been involved with Shop for a Cause for seven years and serves as the chairperson for Shop for a Cause.
“We have vendors and area merchants who have donated items,’’ Coon said. “We have jewelry, holiday gifts, food, baby items and so much more. It’s a good feeling kind of event.”
Houlihan Lawrence is committed to supporting local organizations that help improve the quality of life for everyone who lives in the community. Coon said several of their own at Houlihan Lawrence are breast cancer survivors.
“This is our way of getting involved and having everyone make a contribution," she said. "We’re not just a writing a check, we’re doing something fun and getting the community involved.”
The public is invited to stop by to browse one-of-a-kind gifts, jewelry and accessories, purchase raffles donated by local merchants or drop off donations.
