The festival is presented by 12 Miles North and more than 2,000 people are expected to attend, according to a press release.
“The events produced by 12 Miles North bring such a level of creative genius that people keep coming back for more,” said Carl Carvalho, president of the Hastings-on-Hudson Chamber of Commerce, in a press release. “12 Miles North knows how to bring a community together and touch people deeply. They have almost single handedly brought vitality and excitement back into our village.”
Bands scheduled to perform include the John Patitucci Trio, the Duke Robillard Band and The Howlin’ Brothers. Genres showcased span jazz, country, indie rock and funk.
Spontaneous dance performances include the Hubris Fire Dancers. Food vendors such as Sakura Garden and Lemon Love will serve from trucks, and the Beverage Garden will be stocked with locally crafted beer and lemonade.
Throughout the park, workshops for yoga and other activities will take place. Activities for children include Giant Acorn Slingshot and Haven’s Spectacular Nature Tent.
The festival is designed to promote an eco-friendly environment. According to a press release, organic food will be available and one stage will be solar-powered. Festival goers can learn about protecting the environment through the Practically Green booth.
Tickets are $18 in advance, $25 at the door, and $5 for kids aged 10 through 17. For more information about ticket sales and festival details, click here.
