Hall of Scoops is at 14 S. Greeley Ave., Chappaqua.

Two custom-crafted ice cream flavors will be available – Pinkalicious (cotton candy ice cream flecked with colorful candy confetti, created with the permission of and guidance from Pinkalicious author Victoria Kann) and Rocky Read (chocolate with marshmallows and fudge chunks).

A portion of the proceeds from sales of Pinkalicious will benefit CCBF’s literacy partner, JCY-Westchester Community Partners.  At 3 p.m., local artist Sophie Mendelson will unveil a 20 feet by 65 feet mural outside Hall of Scoops, depicting scenes from the CCBF and around town in Chappaqua, with famous children’s literary characters appearing throughout. Sophie spent the summer creating the mural, with donations from Chappaqua Paint and Hardware and Korth & Shannahan. All activities are free.
