CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Rotary Club has announced its annual Charter Night Dinner and Community Service Awards presentation Saturday, March 5 at the Kittle House.
The awards are traditionally given to individuals and organizations that have provided exceptional service to the Chappaqua/Millwood community.
This year, the Rotary will honor the Chappaqua Garden Club.
Also honored will be Horace Greeley High School student Sophie Odrich, for her hands-on and organizing work with Kittle Care distributing surplus food.
The event also celebrates Chappaqua Rotary’s establishment in 1983.
The occasion will include presentations by dignitaries from local and state government including the Chairman of the County Board of Legislators Michael Kaplowitz; State Rep. David Buchwald; State Sen. Terrance Murphy; and Town Supervisor Rob Greenstein.
A traditional award will also be given in the name of Rotary International’s founder, Paul Harris, to a member who exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self."
