New Rochelle Police Charge Man In Shoplifting

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A New Rochelle man took body lotion and cat food from the city’s Stop and Shop on Tuesday, police said.

Anthony Gamble, 49, who police described as homeless, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was accused of putting the items, totaling $78, into a red bag and walking out of the store without paying, New Rochelle Police Department Capt. Joseph Schaller said.

The New Rochelle Police Department had no other items to report.
