WESTON, Conn. -- Check out these upcoming programs at the Weston Public Library:

Lunch and Learn, noon-1:30 p.m.:

Sept. 8:  Jeff Benedict, author of "Poisoned: The True Story of the Deadly E.Coli Outbreak that Changed the Way Americans Eat."

Sept. 14: Richard Frisch "Apple's Post PC Era Explained": 

? Lion – Mac OS X version 10.7 

? iOS 5 for the iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch and 2nd generation Apple TV

? iCloud services, including iTunes Match.

? How do Apple’s new products and services work with Windows computers and Android devices?

Book Groups:

Sept. 8, 10:30 a.m.: "A Town Like Alice" by Neville Shute

Sept. 21, 7:30 p.m.: "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand" by Helen Simonsen

Film Series:

Sept. 18, 1 to 3 p.m.:  Documentary screening with filmmaker Lisa Seidenberg of "I Have Seen the Future: The New York World's Fair of 1939."

In addition, the libary is accepting donations for a book sale Nov. 4-6.  Donations are accepted on weekends only:

? Hardcover and paperback books in good condition (no mold);

 

? Rare, collectible and signed books;

 

? Audiobooks on cassette and CD in original cases;

 

? Music scores, CDs, DVDs and commercial videos in original cases;

 

? Computer software less than three years old.

A donation receipt will be provided upon request, but the Library cannot evaluate for tax purposes.
