The play, first produced in 2012 at First Baptist Church of Alexandria, spins a ludicrous garland strand of fruitcake-size proportions when Vikki Lincoln (Peekskill’s Heather Dunn), and her daughter Sherri, find themselves charged with “misrepresenting Christmas.”

Vikki and Sherri then find themselves undergoing an interrogation and eventually are at the mercy of a judge who seems hungrier for Christmas cookies than justice. Terrified on the witness stand by a cold-hearted prosecutor (Bonnie Ellis of Briarcliff Manor) and an out-of-control Chappaqua toy store owner, Michelline G. Dubois (Martha Galphin of Pleasantville), Vikki and Sherri’s fate rests in God, one eccentric interior designer (Robert Pennino of Yonkers) and their attorney, Perry Mason-Dixon, Esq.

“Christmas is a beautiful time in Chappaqua and throughout the Hudson Valley. It’s a chance to remember to give thanks for our many blessings,” said Pastor Larry Holland of Grace Baptist Church. “This play is so chock full of comedy and uplifting Christmas music that you can’t help but leave the program inspired."

Written by Lorrie Fox, Gary Morris and Shirley Sprinkle, the play is directed by professional actor, first-time director and Ardsley, NY resident Jason D. King, who was a member of the original 2012 “Let’s Try Christmas” cast.

Rounding out the cast are other Hudson Valley residents, including: Phillip Peters, Gedeon Toth, Anna-Maria Fejer, Carol Worrell, Andy Asabere, Olivia Toth and Olivia King, among others.

Additionally, local musician and College of New Rochelle student, Jackie Serra, who performed last month at the 2014 Fall Festival in Chappaqua with American Idol Season 7 alum Jason Castro, has written one original song that Olivia Toth will sing as part of the show’s finale.
