CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center residents and staff recently received a visit from the Chappaqua Singers and their Love Makes the World Go ‘Round show.
The musical program aimed to transport the audience through a variety of emotions -- romance, heartbreak, patriotism and love of family and friends.
The Chappaqua Singers are a professional-caliber group of entertainers who bring a variety of musical talents to the stage. They perform upbeat repertoires of popular music accented by choreography -- from show tunes to seasonally themed favorites.
This much sought-after ensemble is a performing arts resource in Northern Westchester. Featured is Broadway accompanist and conductor Sue Anderson.
Under the direction of Marie Terotta Roche -- a critically acclaimed singer, actor, dancer and radio personality -- the Chappaqua Singers have performed in Washington, D.C., at national celebrations, numerous September Concert Foundation “911” observances in New York City and at local private and public events.
Their Cedar Manor performance was one of the many therapeutic recreation programs offered daily to residents at the nursing facility.
