CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua Library will host an author talk and book signing with author and resident Patricia Bortz for her book, Hard Truth: Secret of the Back Row at 7 p.m., Friday, July 25.
Chappaqua Library is located at 195 S. Greeley Ave.
Bortz wrote several short dramas and three full-length plays before writing this debut novel.

Megan, a sassy budding TV reporter, hungers for an exciting life at the top. Sixtus, president of the New World Order, sadistically manipulates Megan’s career to satisfy people who desire him. Her best friend Nadia becomes an outlaw when she rebels against Sixtus and his socialistic, godless society.
Megan is trapped between the two. The natural world crumbles around her, the spiritual world wars for her soul and the monsters within tear her apart. She searches from lover to lover, around the world and back but cannot satisfy her longing for inner peace. Megan needs the Hard Truth.
