With a grassy park, ample shade and plenty of free parking, officials from the Chappaqua Farmers Market said the new location is the “perfect space for an outdoor market.”

The market will welcome back old time vendors such as Stone Barns and Pura Vida Fishery and will also include new vendors with offerings such as elk, sweet pea ravioli, fresh cut flower bouquets, maple syrup and more offerings that would be difficult to find anywhere else in Westchester County.

This Saturday, the market will host a special guest mobile pizza oven. Chef David DiBari of Dobbs Ferry's The Cookery will offer hyper-seasonal market pizzas in a wood-burning oven on wheels.

"We are thrilled to have this gourmet mobile pizza oven making a stop at our market. We will continue to seek out unique local vendors that appeal to our food-savvy community," said Pascale Le Draoulec, director of the Chappaqua Farmers Market.

In addition to the pizza oven's debut, shoppers can expect to find lively entertainment on opening day.

Paul Mueller, a musician from New York City-based band Mecca Bodega will be in attendance with his hammered dulcimer, a harp-like instrument with a 2,000 year old history.  Joining him will be Mecca Bodega, who has performed at various world-renowned venues including  Avery Fisher Hall, Merkin Concert Hall and locally at Westchester-based farmers markets and Muscoot Farm.

Additional activities slated for opening day include activities for children sponsored by World Cup and Picklelicious will offer a complimentary pickle on a stick for all children.
