CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Library presents an author talk on the "The History of the Hudson River Valley: from Wilderness to the Civil War" by Vernon Benjamin, on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m.
Building on the work of historians, Benjamin synthesizes primary and secondary sources to create a complete and vivid portrait.
“If you are looking for one solid, all-purpose history of the Hudson Valley, this is it," said J. Winthrop Aldrich, retired deputy commissioner for Historic Preservation, State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
All library programs are free and open to the public.
