Isi Albanese is seeking to replace his longtime pizzeria, Bellizzi, with Exit 4, which would move into its location at 153 E. Main St. He said the board did a "great job" and made the right decision.

Albanese added that the board meeting was packed with people supporting his proposal and that he collected signatures from more than 100 individuals in favor of it.

With the board clearing the way for the project to advance, the next steps include Building Department review and approval of a building permit, along with Architectural Review Board approval of modified signage coloring, according to Albanese. The goal now is to open Exit 4 by Nov. 1.

Albanese plans to have several "stations" at Exit 4, which will host multiple food offerings and some outside vendors. Products set for inclusion are wood-fired pizza, gelato, roasted vegetables, homemade pasta and a charcuterie pairing of cured meats and specialty cheeses.

Mt. Kisco Seafood, which is slated to be an outside vendor, will have offerings that include lobster rolls, soups and sushi, Albanese added. There will also be a station set aside for barbecue.

Albanese also told Daily Voice that Exit 4 will have 85 seats, a decrease from Bellizzi's 120. Delivery will also be offered.

Exit 4's Facebook page, which features photos of the turnout at the meeting, can be found here.
