NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Sandwiched in between the more commercial Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Chappaqua and Millwood's local merchants will participate in the American Express-sponsored Small Business Saturday.
Residents with American Express cards can register for a one-time $25 credit that kicks in when a purchase of $25 or more is made at a small business this Saturday.
"Small Business Saturday is a day to shop at stores owned by our friend and neighbors," said Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce member Rob Greenstein.
At least two of Chappaqua's restaurants will have deals Saturday for hungry shoppers.
Local will have an $8 soup and salad lunch special. Also, any shopper who shows a receipt from a Chappaqua retailer for $25 or more gets a free ice cream or beverage with an $8 purchase.
Le Jardin Du Roi will have 15 percent off lunch items.
